The calm atmosphere backed up by a firm attention to detail and customer satisfaction was good as was my name being remembered and used over breakfast. The choice of comfortable sitting areas was pleasing while the layout gave a pleasant, relaxed, homely feel.

The hotel had a stunning exterior and was situated in beautiful grounds. The breakfast offered was delicious and definitely one of the best I have had in a hotel. The staff were all friendly and attentive, making my stay enjoyable. the hotel had a lovely restaurant with a great selection of dishes, and the bar had a unique variety of drinks.
There were a couple of flaws during my stay. the heating in the hotel was inadequate.

Carberry Tower is the last word in luxury and when the upgrading is complete it will be the most wonderful place to stay. We were overwhelmed by the whole experience and would love to return.

What a wonderful 2 days we had at Carberry Tower! The mansion and grounds were beautiful, making us feel like we had stepped back in time but with all the modern amenities. We loved exploring the gardens and hiking, and seeing the sheep, goats, and rabbits roaming around. The food was truly amazing, with a shoutout to Giovani, the excellent and patient bistro manager who catered to our food sensitivities. The staff as a whole had a great attitude, and the atmosphere of the hotel was amazing. We also enjoyed a cup of coffee and cake in town and would definitely come back.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more!

After reading some reviews on line. I was very surprised to find warm very comfortable rooms, that were clean with comfortable bedding. The staff were helpful and courteous when we asked for a light bulb out side to my 83 year old mother-in-laws room, and we got a warm welcome when when we arrived. Breakfast was a full English, with choice of cereal and we were asked if we wanted more toast, tea or coffee several times. I would have liked to have stayed longer to have to look around the castle and grounds. I just wonder if we went to the same Hotel as those other people in the reviews.
The only thing that we had a problem with was finding the room for my mother-in-law which was hidden down a little corner with no light.

We had an amazing stay at Carberry Tower Mansion House And Estate Guest House. From the warm Scottish welcome to the impeccable grounds, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were always happy to help. Our room was lovely and had all the amenities we needed. We treated ourselves to a delicious prosecco afternoon tea and enjoyed a tasty breakfast with a wide selection of choices. The hotel itself is stunning with its character-filled rooms and comfortable seating areas. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Edinburgh.

What's not to like, Premier Inn costs £100, this costs £125, an absolute bargain, could have stayed for weeks, shame it was only for one night!
Couldn't stay for longer!

I was visiting Edinburgh for work but with my family and we wanted somewhere nice to retreat to after a busy day of work / tourism. We had the car, which I would say is fairly important if you want to go into edinburgh regularly, but what an amazing place. Beautiful, comfortable and cozy, not the least bit stuffy, and to be honest, I could have spent the three days just in "my castle" and been perfectly happy. I would definately recommend this place, especially for a relaxing or romantic weekend, it is fine for work, if you are happy to commute a bit too. Food is great and reasonably priced.
This is really not an issue, but I am a sucker for a pool or spa, and that currently isn't an option, but given the size and space of the grounds, who knows it could be added. It is the only thing missing in this 5 star place.

Anytime we had a query, the staff responded positiveley
It was the same menu every night. We had to eat out, rather than in the luxury of our own hotel. The chef seemed to have very limited skills.
